Start: Ipswich , downtown central parking lot on Hammatt St. , behind Market Street and Central Street
Directions: From I-95, take Rt. 133 east to the center of Ipswich. Turn right one block before downtown center. Hammatt St. parking lot will be on your left.
From Rt. 1, take Ipswich Rd. from Topsfield. Cross tracks and turn left at the Institute for Savings, then bear right. Parking lot will be on your right.
What to expect: Unarrowed, easy early-season pace, follow the leader group ride. We'll start out toward Willowdale State Forest, then circle around on Mill Rd., Waldingfield, Sagamore, Chebacco, and Argilla before doing the 7 mile Jeffreys Neck loop. Gordon's favorite local roads, with several modest climbs.
Pace: 14 mph average +/- but not a pace line. We'll ride together unless you walk up the hills, in which case you're on your own.
