The annual Spring Meeting will be held at the Gould Barn in Topsfield Center, across from the green and next to the Congregational church.

Address: One Howlett St, Topsfield (click for map)

Directions: At the Topsfield Town Library, turn onto East Common Street. That will become Howlett Street after the church. You will see a sign for the Topsfield Historical Society. The Gould Barn faces the street and sits back from the road. There is some parking on the street or at the far left end of the church lot.

Time: Food at 6:30, Meeting will start at 7:00.

Food: We will have pizza delivered, and bottled water. Bring your own drinks.

Agenda: In keeping with tradition, we will discuss the ride calendar, century plans, Board initiatives for the year, and volunteer opportunities.

Plus - don't miss the jersey distribution and sale of new NSC socks.
Pick up your jersey if you pre-ordered. If you didn't pre-order, we have extra jerseys available for $55.
We have NSC socks available for $6 per pair in two color options.

Directions: From Route 95 take exit 51 (Endicott St) east towards Topsfield. The school is 1/4 mile on right. The ride leaves from the parking lot (at the far end from I-95).

What to expect: Our annual first ride of the season. This year the Pothole Inspection Tour will follow the marks for the "New Saturday Ride", established last spring. The routes are very similar. Note also that the start location is Masconomett High School instead of the Topsfield Plaza parking lot.
Meander through Andover, Boxford, Georgetown, Ipswich and Topsfield. Great mix of long flat straights and a few hills to work the legs out. Refreshments after the ride. Download the map and cue sheet from the links below

Directions: Take 93 North to exit 41, follow 125 north (toward Andover), for about 4 miles to the State Police Barracks (on right). Turn right on Harold Parker Rd to Jenkins Rd. Turn left on Jenkins Rd, right onto Salem Rd, Headquarters is Approx 1-1 ½ miles on the left.

FROM LAWRENCE:

From 495 take exit 42, travel east on Rt. 114 for 6 miles. Take a right at brown Harold Parker State Forest sign, follow to the end of rd then take a left to the headquarters.

FROM SALEM, PEABODY & DANVERS:

Travel west on Rt. 114. Take a left at brown Harold Parker State Forest sign, follow to the end of rd then take a left to the headquarters.

Date and Time: Sunday,April 13, 2008: 10:00 for 30 and 52 miles

What to expect: A vintage CRW ride through several Essex County state forests. The shorter ride goes to Topsfield; the longer ride includes Ipswich, Great and Little Necks. Road mark is an inverted T

Directions: From Rte. 95 take exit 57 Rte 113 east. Go for 2 miles and take a left onto Kent St. parking lot is 2 blocks on right. From Rte 1 go onto Merrimac St. 1/4 mile west towards Amesbury. Take a left at the gas station lot 1 block on left..

Time: Sunday, April 20, 2008: 10:00 AM for 25, 35, 50 and 64 miles

What to expect: Scenic tour of the Merrimack River . The 25 mile ride will be mostly flat while the 50 and 60 mile loops will be varying. The ride passes through Newburyport along the Merimack River, goes through a nice bit of forest, then continues along the Merrimack River crossing at the Rocks Village and Chain bridges. The longer rides follow the river to West Newbury, crossing and following the north side of the river, then do a loop beyond Amesbury before rejoining the short loop. Very scenic views, riding right along the river for miles.
