What to expect: Scenic tour of the Merrimack River . The 25 mile ride will be mostly flat while the 50 and 60 mile loops will be varying. The ride passes through Newburyport along the Merimack River, goes through a nice bit of forest, then continues along the Merrimack River crossing at the Rocks Village and Chain bridges. The longer rides follow the river to West Newbury, crossing and following the north side of the river, then do a loop beyond Amesbury before rejoining the short loop. Very scenic views, riding right along the river for miles.

Date and Time: Sunday, JMay 11, 2008: 9:00 AM for 20, 30, 46, and 62 miles
What to expect: We ride counter-clockwise along the Cape Ann coastline, through Gloucester, out to the Eastern Point Lighthouse, along Atlantic Ave., out to Rockport, back through Annisquam Village, and with optional ride along the narrow winding roads in "West Gloucester" to Essex, then returning to Magnolia. A 62 mile "metric century" adds a loop to Ipswich. It's a great time to ride out to Rockport, before the roads get clogged with tourists. The route is marked with a yellow "Dan Henry", a circle with a line pointing the direction. Road mark is a yellow "Dan Henry" shown below.
