Start: Memorial Elementary School, Manchester, MA
Date and Time: Sunday, JMay 11, 2008: 9:00 AM for 20, 30, 46, and 62 miles
What to expect: We ride counter-clockwise along the Cape Ann coastline, through Gloucester, out to the Eastern Point Lighthouse, along Atlantic Ave., out to Rockport, back through Annisquam Village, and with optional ride along the narrow winding roads in "West Gloucester" to Essex, then returning to Magnolia. A 62 mile "metric century" adds a loop to Ipswich. It's a great time to ride out to Rockport, before the roads get clogged with tourists. The route is marked with a yellow "Dan Henry", a circle with a line pointing the direction. Road mark is a yellow "Dan Henry" shown below.

Note from Gordon Harris: The shoulders are great the entire length of Rt. 1A until Odiome Point, followed by a couple of miles of tight shoulders before the medium route turns left on Sagamore Rd. . The following is my unofficial version of the route which turns before Odiome Point, and takes back roads for 7 miles before rejoining the main route.
