Start: Harold Parker State Forest, North Andover, MA : Berry Pond Recreation Area

Directions:

From 495 ­– Exit 42A go east on 114 about 5.5 mi., take a right onto Harold Parker Road, right on Middleton Rd., ½ mi. to Berry Pond gate on left.

From 95 – Go west on 114 about 6.5 mi., take a left onto Harold Parker Rd., right on Middleton Rd. to ½ mi. Berry Pond gate on left

From 93 – Exit 41 onto 125 towards Andover /North Andover. Turn right at stop lights Harold Parker Road (near State trooper barracks) follow it till it ends. Turn left onto Jenkins rd. Go to the four way stop and turn right onto Salem St. The Berry Pond Rec. area will be on your right just after the bridge

What to expect: North Shore NEMBA has hosted this ride for many years, and it's always been a great gathering for mountain bikers. This year will showcase some of the best trails the forest has to offer, not-so-coincidentally built by North Shore NEMBA's trail building gurus.

There will be arrowed courses for beginner, intermediate and advanced cross-country riders, as well as led rides of all levels.

The cost is $15 for the general public, $10 for NEMBA members, and if you join NEMBA you get to ride for free!

Woman's Skills Clinic! Pro East Coast racers from Team Vitamin Water will be holding women's specific clinics starting at 10am. The clinics will show women how to get the most out of their suspension as well as riding skills to conquer obstacles and have more fun riding New England trail. Clinics are for advanced-beginners and intermediate riders. We hope to see you there!

Directions:
Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsboro State Forest is located in north-east Massachusetts.
From the South: Take Rt. 495 to Rt. 3 north. Follow Rt. 3 North to exit 32. Go right at the end of ramp, onto Drum Hill Rd. go 5 sets of lights you will cross over the Rourk Bridge. Go left at the lights on the other side of the bridge. Go 500 yards then take a right at lights onto Old Ferry Rd. Take a left onto Varnum Ave. After ½ mile, go right onto Trotting Park Rd. Parking lot is at the gate.

Date and Time: Sunday, November 2, 2008: Beginners group at 8:45am
Intermediate group at 10:00am .

What to expect: The first ride will began at 8:45am and will be an hour for first time and beginner riders. It will consist mainly of fire roads and will serve as an introduction to mountain biking. Rigid, hardtails and full suspension bikes will all work for this ride.

The second ride will start at 10:00am and will be for experienced and intermediate riders at a pace that will be determined by the group. This ride will last 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. Both rides will be designed to accommodate varying pace and no one will be left behind.

Directions: Park Directions
From Rt. 128: Take exit 31B. Follow Route 225 West for 8 miles to the Carlisle center rotary, then turn right on Lowell St. (following the sign to Chelmsford.) Fern's Market is on the corner. The Park entrance is 2 miles ahead on the right. The Park Office (984 Lowell St) is just beyond the entrance also on the right. Make right hand turn onto North Road. Parking area is 1/2 mile down on left.

From the North: Take 495 South to Exit 34. Follow Route 110 West for .6 miles to Chelmsford Center, continue through light onto Route 4 South for 1 mile, then take right fork onto Concord Road towards Carlisle. The Park office is 2 miles ahead on the left. The Park is just beyond the office , go left on North Rd, parking lot is 1/2 mile down on the left.

What to expect: The first ride will began at 8:45 am and will be a 45 minute to an hour for first time and beginner riders. It will consist mainly of fire roads and will serve as an introduction to mountain biking. Rigid, hardtails and full suspension bikes will all work for this ride.

The two second rides, intermediate and advanced, will start at 10:00am and will be for experienced and intermediate riders at a pace that will be determined by the groups. This rides will last 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. Rides will be designed to accommodate varying pace and no one will be left behind. Directions: Directions to Lyceum Bar & Grill:
Follow Rte 128 N To Exit 25A (Rte 114 East-Salem). Follow the 114 East Signs. From Exit 25A travel approx. 2.3 miles on Rte 114. Pass Hess Gas Station / HMA Car Care on the left. Continue straight, up over the overpass. Take first right, marked Rte 107, Beverly. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Bridge St. At the traffic light at the intersection, turn right onto Washington St. Take the first left you can, which is Church St. The Lyceum is the second building on the right, #43 There is a small parking lot on the same side of the street, and also diagonallly across the street (take the first left at the end of the street after you pass the Lyceum and then the first left again to enter the lot on far side).

Directions:
Jenkins lot at the end of Harold Parker Road-Take 93 North to exit 41, follow 125 north (toward Andover), for about 4 miles to the State Police Barracks (on right). Turn right on Harold Parker Rd to Jenkins Rd. Parking lot is at the intersection of Jenkins and Harold Parker Road through the stop sign.
