North Shore Cyclists The Best Cycling North of Boston

I've just sent emails to Boston city hall and DOT regarding an idea for bike paths that  follow (most likely above) existing commuter rail lines for a distance of 10 -15 miles from Boston. This could be a paid (like speedpass) system in order to keep it in good shape. It could be like a dollar for one day or 10.00/month or something.  Perhaps stimulus package funds could get it started?
